Dental Facts:

[it doesn't go away!]
Dental problems do not get better or go away without treatment! If your dentist gives you a treatment plan for dental work that you need to have done, you should focus on getting your teeth fixed as soon as possible. Even cavities continue to get bigger. If they get big enough to reach the nerve in your tooth, your only options would be to have a root canal or have the tooth extracted!

[regular checkups]
Going to the dentist for regular check ups & cleanings is one of the most important factors in maintaining good oral health. Regular check ups can prevent cavities, root canals, gum disease, oral cancer, and other dental conditions. Don't wait until you have a problem before you see your dentist, help prevent problems before they happen.

Reiki Holistic Therapy
relieving stress before or after dental care

Attending the dentist for some people can be a stressful experience. Indian Head Massage and Reiki are an excellent natural way of relieving that stress before or after treatment.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is based on the ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years.

The aim of Indian Head Massage is to release the stresses that accumulate in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders.

The client sits in a massage chair for the treatment and the therapist uses a range of different movements including the application of deep kneading and compression movements over the upper back, neck, arms, shoulders and scalp areas. In addition, the therapist will also gently stimulate and stroke pressure points on the face. Indian Head Massage is especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraines and sinusitis.

Reiki

The word Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a natural healing system, developed in Japan in the 1920's

The body is main up of seven main chakras or energy points and sometimes these can become blocked or out of alignment. The person being treated sits or lies fully clothed and the practitioner places their hands on or just above these energy points. Reiki works on all levels; emotional, mental, physical and spiritual but the healing goes to where it is needed.

Treatment is safe, gentle and non invasive. Reiki energises and heals the body. Research has shown that it can speed up wound healing, lower blood pressure, reduce stress and help in the management of pain.

During a treatment you may experience heat, cold, tingling or other sensations. Above all the person receiving treatment usually feels a sense of deep calmness and relaxation. Each person will have different needs so your experience will be an individual one. To find a health club offering treatments such as Reiki and head massage, visit Spa Days UK.

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful complementary therapy that may be used alongside orthodox healthcare. Reiki is not an alternative to conventional medicine, you should therefore always consult your GP about medical conditions.
